WordPress writes constantly: uploads, plugin and theme installs, caches, backups, revision history. When the disk fills, uploads fail and pages start returning errors, and on most shared hosts you get no warning before that happens.

WP Disk Guard measures the real byte total under your WordPress folder and emails the site admin, plus anyone you delegate to, when usage crosses thresholds you set. It detects a storage total for you, and flags that figure when it looks like the wrong disk, which is the usual sign the host answered with the whole server rather than your plan allowance. A limit you type in yourself always wins over detection.

Scans are gated to a night window so the quiet hours are when it works, with a forced check if nothing has run for six hours. It pins a notice in wp-admin above the critical threshold, shows which folders are holding the space, and never deletes anything. Measuring and reporting is all it does.
